Chantal Brine is a builder- of people and businesses. Her interest in the psychology behind human interaction brought her to Saint Mary’s University from Bermuda, where she focused on Psychology, Business, and Human Resources. Following university, she made Nova Scotia her home and began supporting leaders in the private and public sector as a Consultant. This work led to her role with North American technology company, Unique Solutions Design Ltd., where she led the development and execution of their human capital strategy for four years as the company tripled in size. After reconnecting with her own passion of helping others find careers that they love, she partnered with Ian, Craig, and Wayne to start En Point where she focuses on helping young adults do just that.
Chantal is a believer in experiential learning, a proponent for mentorship, and an active advocate for women. As a TedX and sought-after speaker, she often talks about the importance of living an authentic life and on the impact of mentorship in advancing in one’s career. Chantal Chairs the Atlantic Regional Advisory Board for the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers and the Mentorship Committee for Women in Communications and Technology, serves on the Halifax Chamber of Commerce WorkForce Taskforce, and sits on the Program Advisory Council for Techsploration.
Wayne is a business builder involved with several private companies including Venor, Sports Entertainment Atlantic, Epix Engineering, Moore Executive Suites and others. During his 20 year career with Emera Inc. He successfully completed business development of over $1 billion in enterprise value. He has over 25 years of international experience in business development, strategy, operations, corporate effectiveness, audit and finance.
As a believer in giving back, Wayne currently serves on the Board of the Halifax Convention Centre, Habitat for Humanity NS, Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia and is an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Canadian Military. He is also a member of the executive for Young Presidents Organization (YPO Gold Atlantic Chapter). Wayne was recognized as Top 40 Under 40 in Canada in 2001.
As a founding Partner of Venor, a talent firm serving clients across Atlantic Canada, Ian is highly regarded as an entrepreneur committed to delivering value and results for his clients. Raised in Antigonish, Ian is a proud and active alumnus of Saint Francis Xavier University, serving as chair of the alumni golf tournament and on the committee for the annual Father Kehoe dinner. Passionate about sport and kids in sport, Ian is active in coaching and has served on the Executive of Dartmouth Minor Hockey and on the Board of Palooka’s Gym in Halifax. He also sits on the board of the Grafton Connor Group.
A native of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Craig graduated from Memorial University and has been working in the people sector since. From his time with national staffing agencies in Toronto, Calgary, and Ottawa to starting, Venor, Craig has been committed to ensuring organizations recruit, retain, and develop the best talent. With a depth of knowledge in the technology, oil and gas, leadership, and sales and business development industries, Craig provides support to clients across Canada. In the community, he is a Director on the Board of Metro Works, a skills development agency that has helped thousands of people overcome obstacles to employment.
